Opportunity

Quantexa is seeking an IT Operations Engineer to lead IT support across the European region, with a strong focus on our Centre of Excellence in Málaga, Spain. This is an exciting opportunity to work with modern, cloud-first corporate IT systems and to play a key role in shaping the evolution of our global IT landscape.

As an integral part of our growing IT team, this role is ideal for an IT professional with industry experience who is eager to broaden their skillset, embrace new challenges, and contribute to a rapidly scaling organisation. Reporting directly to the Head of IT (UK), you will support our global IT environment while providing dedicated onsite and remote support for our Málaga-based employees and wider user community.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting 800–1000 users in a primarily remote, global environment
  • Managing the onboarding process for new starters
  • Acting as the first point of contact for IT issues across our estate, onsite and offsite
  • Partnering with our Information Security team to roll out new initiatives
  • Using automation tools to streamline and enhance IT workflows
  • Managing IT Help Desk tickets and resolving issues within SLA timeframes
  • Overseeing the offboarding process in alignment with company policies
  • Ensuring security and compliance across all company laptops and devices
  • Creating and maintaining IT procedures, reports, documentation, and user FAQs
  • Planning and implementing new systems within our expanding SaaS environment
  • Supporting and deploying solutions that enhance our hybrid working model

Requirements

What you’ll bring

  • Strong technical fluency, with the ability to learn new tools quickly using online resources and logical troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft ecosystem (e.g., Windows 10/11, Azure AD), including basic administration
  • Understanding of fundamental networking concepts (IP addresses, subnets, TCP ports)
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting (highly beneficial)
  • Experience providing operational support to end users
  • Knowledge of Information Security best practices
  • Awareness of basic software engineering principles

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in a similar IT Support or Operations role
  • Exposure to Microsoft 365 and Azure AD cloud services
  • Experience managing multiple SaaS platforms
  • A hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, scale-up environment
  • Above all, a strong desire to learn and grow — specific technologies matter less than your motivation and ability to pick them up quickly
