We are looking for an IT Support Engineer to take ownership of IT operations for our Arlington office, bringing strong expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM), network administration, and cloud-based integrations. The ideal candidate will manage the user identity lifecycle and ensure secure and efficient access to enterprise systems. This role also includes administration and maintenance of the office’s network infrastructure, managing cybersecurity platforms, conducting security audits, and providing user training on safe handling of sensitive information. The successful candidate will balance hands-on troubleshooting with advanced knowledge of network infrastructure, authentication protocols, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity best practices.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage and administer Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems, including user provisioning, de-provisioning and access reviews.
  • Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches and wireless networks.
  • Manage cybersecurity tools, including endpoint protection, antivirus, vulnerability management, security information and event management (SIEM) systems, and phishing simulation platforms.
  • Support cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, etc.) with a focus on authentication and access controls.
  • Collaborate with the IT Manager to improve IAM processes, security policies, and integration standards.
  • Assist with incident response, log analysis, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for IAM processes, network configurations, and integration workflows.
  • Install, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Provide advanced technical support and act as the escalation point for access-related issues.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, System Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in IT support or system administration, with hands-on experience in supporting IT infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure, VPNs, and identity & access management systems.
  • Proficiency in supporting a diverse environment with Linux/Mac/Windows endpoints.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity practices, including endpoint security and threat detection.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms.
  • Any relevant certifications in IT support, system administration, or cybersecurity (e.g., CompTIA, ITIL, or similar) is a plus.
