Rentokil Initial is seeking an experienced and technically skilled IT Support Consultant to join our team in Auckland, based in our Mount Wellington office.

As an IT Support Consultant, you will be responsible for responding to all customer queries in accordance with the defined service level agreement. A key aspect of the role is to deliver high-quality IT support to the organisation, which includes over 600 employees, 200+ PCs/laptops, and 500+ mobile devices.

You will need to use your initiative and technical experience to quickly resolve critical IT support issues that impact access to essential systems and applications. The successful individual must be able to work as part of a team within defined policies and procedures, while also demonstrating the ability to work autonomously in troubleshooting end-user IT issues.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist staff on the phone and via email with IT incidents and support requests within an ITIL framework.
  • Ensure all support requests are logged and tracked in the IT Service Management tool, ServiceNow, and are actioned promptly.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service to internal customers of the IT Support Desk, ensuring users are dealt with professionally and efficiently.
  • Build new hardware as required and dispatch it to branches.
  • Create new staff accounts as requested and remove staff accounts when employees leave the business.
  • Resolve all IT issues across the organisation.

Qualification and Experience Requirements

  • Level 4 or higher qualification in an IT-related field.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in an IT Help Desk environment.

Additional Skills:

  • Sound technical knowledge and experience in deploying Microsoft Office, Windows 10, and Windows Server 2012.
  • Demonstrated capability with Active Directory, Citrix, VMware, and SQL.
  • Demonstrated capability with Google Workspace products.
  • Sound knowledge of working within a virtualised environment utilising remote access products.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse range of operating systems and applications.
  • Experience using the ServiceNow ticketing system.
