The IT Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of all technology infrastructure across our school network. This includes managing hardware and software requirements, providing IT support to staff, overseeing network connectivity, and collaborating with vendors to maintain seamless operations. The IT Supervisor plays a critical role in supporting our educational environment by ensuring that staff and students have access to dependable technology resources.
The IT Supervisor will work within the Technology team and collaborate with various stakeholders, including System Operations, Engineering, School Operations, and external vendors. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks across different school locations.

Core Job Responsibilities
User Support and Ticket Management:
- Manage and resolve IT support tickets from staff across multiple locations.
- Provide troubleshooting and support for Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
- Escalate complex issues to vendors or higher-level support when necessary.
- Maintain clear documentation of support requests, resolutions, and recurring issues.
Microsoft Platform Administration:
- Administer Microsoft Entra (Azure AD), including user accounts, permissions, and security groups.
- Oversee Microsoft 365 tenant configuration, licensing, and compliance.
- Manage SharePoint sites and Teams environments to ensure secure and efficient collaboration.
- Monitor system health and proactively address potential issues to minimize downtime.
Network and Hardware Support
- Maintain network infrastructure, in collaboration with vendors, ensuring reliable connectivity across all school sites.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure staff are equipped with necessary hardware (laptops, peripherals, classroom devices).
- Oversee IT asset lifecycle management, including procurement, deployment, and retirement.
Security and Compliance
- Implement and monitor IT security policies, including endpoint protection, patch management, and access controls.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Manage backup and disaster recovery processes to safeguard critical systems.
Web Hosting and Vendor Management
- Oversee school web hosting services, ensuring uptime, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with external vendors for hosting, domain management, and SSL certification.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely resolution of issues and cost- effective service delivery.
