As an IT Strategy and Systems Manager, you will serve as the chief architect and executor of the company’s future technology environment, working closely with executive leadership to assess the current IT stack, define a clear strategic roadmap, and drive the modernization of both customer-facing and internal communication platforms. This critical leadership role owns the full lifecycle of core systems, from strategic analysis and lead flow optimization to hands-on project leadership, guiding a cross-functional team consisting of a Business Analyst and Developers through complex system migrations and the successful implementation of modern SaaS tools.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Digital Communication & Sales Stack Modernization (Project Focus)
•Project Ownership: Personally own and lead the implementation of new, modern communication and workflow tools, including Front.com (Shared Inbox), Dialpad (VOIP/Phone System), and new website chat services
•Lead Flow Optimization: Work closely with the CMO to redesign and implement end-to-end lead flow processes, from initial web form submission/chat engagement to final routing within the CRM or internal system, ensuring no leads are lost
•Web Form & User Experience: Oversee the replacement and optimization of existing web forms to improve data capture accuracy and conversion rates
IT Strategy & Roadmap Definition
•System Analysis & Audit: Partner with leadership to conduct comprehensive analyses of our existing, homegrown systems to determine their business value and integration complexity
•Strategic Roadmap Development: Define a clear, prioritized, and phased IT stack cleanup and modernization roadmap that guides system retirement, data migration, and new platform implementation
•Business Alignment: Ensure all IT projects and the strategic roadmap are directly aligned with the company’s financial and growth objectives
Team Leadership & Governance
•Personnel Management: Directly manage and mentor the internal technical team:
oBusiness Analyst: Leverage the BA to define clear project requirements, map data fields, and document current/future state processes for all implementations (e.g., the workflow changes required by Front.com)
oTwo Full-Time Developers: Guide their efforts on necessary integrations and maintenance of core proprietary systems
•Continuous Improvement & Automation: Work with the team in the spirit of continuous improvement to identify manual, repetitive processes that can be automated, increasing team and operational efficiency
•Vendor Management: Select, negotiate, and manage external partners and vendors for new software acquisitions (like Dialpad) and specialized implementation needs
System & Data Integrity
•Data Cleanup & Migration: Own the effort to consolidate and clean proprietary data as systems are migrated to ensure the accuracy and reliability of information used for sales and marketing
•Operational Stability: Ensure the stability, security, and performance of all applications that support the $100$ employee workforce
Requirements
Must-have Skills / Qualification:
•At least 5 years of experience in the IT/Software industry, with at least 3 years in a management role focused on IT strategy, managing developers, and leading complex system replacement projects
•Proven experience leading the implementation of modern SaaS communication tools (e.g., similar to Front, Dialpad, HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
•Strong understanding of the technology required for lead identification, capture, and routing
•Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor a technical team and use a Business Analyst effectively for project scoping
•Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Advantageous or Nice-to-Have Skills/Experience:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Science, Engineering or related
•Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) or Agile/Scrum ethodologies
•Prior experience with business telephony systems (VOIP)
