Position: We are looking for an IT Specialist passionate about technology and eager to help others, to join our System Team. As part of our team, you will work closely with the IT Manager and collaborate with talented professionals to provide exceptional technical support and assistance to our employees. What you will do: Provide first-line technical support via Slack, email, and the Help Desk system (Jira Service Management) in a timely and efficient manner; Track and resolve issues, updating the internal knowledge base and communicating findings to relevant teams; Escalate complex problems to appropriate higher-level support teams; Maintain and troubleshoot computer hardware and software systems; Install, configure, and upgrade software applications and operating systems; Collaborate with other IT team members to implement new systems and technologies; Develop and maintain documentation of IT processes and procedures; Implement and maintain security policies and procedures to ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability; Train and support users on hardware and software tools. Requirements: Degree in Computer Science (or related) or equivalent experience; 2+ years of experience in IT support or similar role; Strong knowledge of Windows/Mac OS, hardware/software troubleshooting, and common SaaS tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Jira, etc.); Understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and cybersecurity best practices; Strong problem-solving and communication skills; Proactive, organized, and able to work independently or in a team; Curious, eager to learn, and up-to-date with new technologies; Intermediate or higher level of English; Based in Bologna and available to work on-site. Nice to have: Experience with ITIL framework and ITSM tools; Experience with Active Directory and network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points); Experience with pfSense and/or other network appliances; Experience with MDM solutions (e.g. Microsoft Intune, Jamf); Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
