The Opportunity The Program Manager, IT will be responsible for program and project management within the IT department. This individual will provide leadership in the development of best practices with flexibility between project management methodologies. This role requires a technical, hands-on approach to ensure cross-functional teams are aligned throughout the software development lifecycle.   Functions include both strategic and tactical elements involved with the planning, oversight, and implementation of software from off-the-shelf to customized in-house solutions. What You'll Be Doing
  • Coordinate and oversee multiple technology-related projects ensuring their alignment with strategic goals.
  • Responsible for resource management and prioritization across the IT department.
  • Accountable for the IT Project Management process for the REGENXBIO organization.
  • Responsible for standing up an IT PMO including the establishment of formal Program and Project Management Principles and Procedures.
  • Responsible for creation and execution of IT project governance and prioritization from executive management top down and project specific bottom-up approaches.
  • Responsible for the definition, approach, facilitation, and successful completion of IT projects of various complexities including GxP validated and non-validated solutions.
  • Identifies, assesses, and manages risks to the satisfactory conclusion of a project.
  • Manages change, documents appropriately, and follows proper change control procedures.
  • Assists with troubleshooting activities utilizing technical expertise to guide cross-functional teams internally and externally.
  • Assists with audits.
  • Provides effective leadership taking appropriate action as needed to keep the team moving forward.
  • Responsible for the industry accepted project management knowledge areas of time, cost, scope, project quality, communication, risk, procurement and stakeholder management. Manages time, cost, scope, and risk for software implementations.
  • Manages project schedules and interdependencies in project management tools.
  • Manages multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ensures on-time, on-budget delivery adhering to high quality standards and meeting customer expectations.

  • What We're Looking For
  • Minimum BS in a STEM field or relevant work experience in information systems, engineering, science, or business.
  • Minimum of 5 years software implementation project management experience including multiple methodologies including Waterfall and Agile.
  • Ability to understand existing and new business processes and requirements, to ensure proper implementation of systems.
  • Strong communication (oral and written communication) and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess a strong, demonstratable track record of on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Strong knowledge in electronic project management tools such as MS Project, MS Teams, Smartsheet, JIRA, and Azure DevOps.
  • Software development or testing experience preferred.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical GMP operations preferred.
  • Experience in ISO 27001 preferred.
  • Agile Scrum experience and/or certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge of GAMP and CSV/CSA a plus.
  • CSM or PMP certification preferred.

The actual salary offered to the final candidate depends on a number of factors such as relevant work experience, skills, education, and years of experience.
