We are seeking a passionate IT Infrastructure Architect to join our team. As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring scalable and secure solutions and aligning with architectural standards and setting the strategic direction.  

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional, global teams working together to achieve extraordinary results. You will work closely with internal product teams, product owners, and external operation partners to deliver high-quality platforms and services 

You will be joining the Infrastructure & SmartOffice team, and report directly to Jakob Monajemzadeh Thrane, People Leader in Global IT based in Hellerup. You will also be based in Hellerup. 

 

Your key responsibilities will be: 

  • Act as subject matter expert (SME) within Microsoft server ecosystems, virtualization, storage, and networking.  
  • Guide engineering teams through deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of infrastructure solutions.  
  • Support complex root cause analysis and advice on performance optimization.  
  • Lead technical assessments, PoCs, and platform upgrade strategies. 

 

Qualifications and Skills: 

You hold a relevant academic degree with +5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably from a regulated industry. 

Experience from a fast‑growing organization and experience with agile or product‑oriented methodologies will be considered an advantage. 

Furthermore, you have: 

  • Strong understanding of virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper V).  
  • Solid experience with enterprise storage (SAN/NAS), data protection, and DR solutions.  
  • Strong foundation in networking: TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, firewalls, load balancing.  
  • Deep experience in Microsoft infrastructure platforms (AD DS, Windows Server, Azure AD).  
  • Scripting and automation experience.
