POSITION: Help Desk Technician                                                                                      REPORTS TO: IT Manager

 

We are looking for a Help Desk Technician to join our IT Team! Our Help Desk Technician is responsible for maintaining networks, software, and equipment, resolving technical problems, and providing general IT support and assistance.

  • You are skilled in using Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems, with expertise in managing Windows Server (2016 or newer) and Microsoft SharePoint. Familiar with cloud technologies and have been exposed to Microsoft Intune for endpoint management.

EXPERIENCE

  • You have 2+ years of hands-on experience in IT support-related role in a corporate environment
  • You have a degree or diploma in Information Technology or related discipline
  • You have basic experience working in a virtualized server environment
  • You have IT related certification(s), e.g. Microsoft Certs, CCNA, CompTIA Certs

NICE-TO-HAVE

  • Knowledge and management capabilities within Microsoft Endpoint Management, including device policy enforcement, security configuration, and troubleshooting across diverse environments.
  • Knowledge and skills in administering networks using the Fortinet stack, including the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of security and network devices
  • Proficient in utilizing the Microsoft Power Platform


THINGS YOU WILL DO…

  • Maintain IT hardware inventory sourcing additional equipment as required
  • Troubleshoot issues both on-site and remotely maintaining excellence with every interaction
  • Set up and deploy new hardware and software
  • Manage print servers, active directory, and other server related resources
  • Provide mobile device and other equipment support
  • Participate in IT projects, including new systems and processes implementation
  • Improve current programs by reviewing objectives and evaluate enhancements by studying system capacities

  • You may on occasion work at varied times as the job requires
  • Primary office location: 34494 McClary Rd, Abbotsford, BC
  • Secondary office location: We have 6 locations within the Abbotsford area that require IT support from time to time
  • You will need to travel between different office locations
