IT Finance & Controlling Analyst

Coleto Brands, parent Company of Progress Lighting and Kichler, is seeking to fill a remote IT Finance and Controlling position. The Finance & Controlling Analyst owns configuration and operational support for core finance processes in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud and serves as a bridge between Accounting/Finance operations and the SAP platform. This role blends hands-on finance process knowledge (month-end close, reconciliations, AP/AR impacts) with SAP configuration ownership and continuous improvement delivery in a Fit-to-Standard, quarterly release environment.

The Senior Manager owns the Finance systems roadmap; the Analyst executes configuration, stabilizes operations, improves close performance, and drives measurable reductions in manual effort and recurring defects. Work collaboratively with the Controllership and Financial Planning Analysis team to serve the business needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Configuration & Process Ownership (SAP Public Cloud)
• Own configuration for Finance processes in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud aligned to Fit-to-Standard best practices.
• Configure and support core finance areas as applicable: General Ledger, posting rules, document types, account determination touchpoints, AP/AR process impacts, bank/cash processing, and fixed assets (if in scope).
• Use SAP Public Cloud extensibility appropriately (key-user fields/logic/workflows; APIs/events where applicable) to enable business requirements while minimizing customization risk.
• Operational Support (L2) & Finance Stabilization
• Provide L2 support for finance-related incidents: posting errors, reconciliation issues, billing-to-GL exceptions, integration exceptions impacting financial results, and period-end defects.
• Partner with Accounting to resolve issues quickly during close; document fixes and reduce repeat incidents through root-cause remediation.
• Create and maintain knowledge articles, SOPs, and close support guides.
• Close, Controls, and Compliance Support (Blend Role)
• Support month-end close execution by coordinating issue resolution, validating process runs, and improving close performance through standardization and defect reduction.
• Support internal controls and audit readiness (process documentation, evidence support, segregation-of-duties considerations).
• Participate in change governance: impact assessment, testing, training, and communications.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration (O2C / P2P Impacts)
• Partner with Sales/Delivery and Supply Chain analysts to ensure clean end-to-end financial impacts from billing, returns/credits, goods movements, and procurement-related postings.
• Support analysis of recurring defects and manual journals; drive reduction strategies aligned to roadmap direction.
• Testing, Releases, and Change Governance
• Lead functional testing for finance changes: unit, regression, and user validation with Accounting stakeholders.
• Support SAP Public Cloud quarterly release readiness: analyze release impacts, execute regression plans, coordinate fixes, and communicate changes to users.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in finance/accounting operations, finance systems support, or ERP finance roles.
• SAP S/4HANA experience required; SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience owning configuration and supporting business operations (L2 support).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate finance process needs into system configuration within Public Cloud constraints.
• Travel 25 - 30% of the time, domestic travel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting month-end close in an ERP environment (close task management, reconciliations, controls).
• Experience supporting high-volume transaction environments and cross-functional process impacts (O2C/P2P).
• Familiarity with embedded analytics/Fiori reporting; SAC exposure is a plus.
