IT Developer

As an IT Developer, you will be responsible for the development, coding, and maintenance of scalable, high-quality software applications. Reporting directly to the IT Manager, the role involves writing clean code, collaborating with cross-functional teams, troubleshooting and debugging issues, and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. You will also participate in code reviews, database management, and continuous improvement efforts while staying up to date with the latest industry trends.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop Software Applications: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Java, Python, and PHP
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with project managers and the IT Manager to define and implement new features and functionalities
• Troubleshoot and Debug: Identify, diagnose, and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks in the codebase
• Code Review and Quality Assurance: Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
• Database Management: Design, implement, and maintain databases and data structures (SQL/NoSQL, as needed)
• Testing and Documentation: Write unit tests, integration tests, and ensure comprehensive technical documentation for the codebase
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and proactively suggest improvements to processes and tools

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development, web development, and enterprise solutions
• Proven hands-on experience in PHP, and Laravel frameworks
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and familiarity with systems development lifecycle (SDLC) principles
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• Must be able to adapt to sudden changes in scope

Advantageous skills or nice-to-haves:

• Experience with UiPath, Power Automate, and API Integration (HTTP, RESTful)
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, low-code, no-code)
• Worked in Agile development
• Experience in other OOP languages such as Java and Python, with high preference in Java
