We are seeking an experienced IT Category Manager to join us here in Denova as part of our exclusive talent pool!

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and execute long-term sourcing roadmaps for Software, Hardware, Cloud, and Services that align with the organization’s IT landscape and plans.

  • Oversee source-to-pay process for IT spend category to drive total cost of ownership, evaluating the full financial impact of tech investments

  • Lead high-value negotiations for Enterprise Agreements (EA) and consumption-based models (AWS/Azure/GCP) to maximize commercial leverage.

  • Proactively manage the IT contract portfolio to prevent auto-renewals, eliminate "Shadow IT," and consolidate redundant software seats.

  • Partner with Security and Legal to embed cybersecurity resilience, data privacy compliance, and robust exit strategies into all IT contracts.

  • Manage Tier-1 vendor performance and governance, acting as the primary escalation point for critical service or contractual disputes.

  • Monitor IT industry shifts, vendor M&A activity, and licensing model changes to advise leadership on potential budget risks or opportunities.

  • Act as the strategic bridge between IT, Finance, and Business Units to translate technical requirements into cost-effective commercial deals.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related discipline. – mandatory 

  • 6+ years of extensive experience in IT category management, sourcing, or contract management in large international organisations. – mandatory 

  • Fluent in English (verbal and written) – mandatory 

  • Strong knowledge of IT spend categories, including software licensing, cloud services, hardware, networking and managed services

  • Proven ability to deliver cost savings through effective spend analysis, strategic sourcing, negotiation and supplier management

  • Strong innovation drive, project management and solutions design

  • Excellent presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Proficiency in procurement tools such as SAP Ariba / Coupa or similar.

  • Relevant IT procurement certification such as CISM, ITIL, or equivalent) is a plus
