IT Business Analyst

We are looking for an IT Business Analyst / Functional Analyst to join our Solution Architecture team and actively contribute to the development and scaling of Konera, Proximus Global’s Network API platform. Based in Belgrade and operating within the CTO organization, you will work at the intersection of product, architecture, and engineering, while receiving functional guidance and methodological support from Proximus Global’s Shared Architecture team.

In this role, you will support initiatives end-to-end — from early business and product discussions, through functional analysis and solution definition, to delivery support and go-live. You will play a key role in ensuring that business intent, functional requirements, and technical solutions are consistently aligned and traceable. You will collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Product Management, Engineering teams, vendors, and business stakeholders, contributing to a fast-moving, incubation-style environment where clarity, pragmatism, and impact matter.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business and functional analysis activities, from requirements elicitation to functional solution design.
• Translate business and product needs into clear, structured functional specifications and platform requirements, including non-functional aspects such as security, resilience, scalability, and compliance.
• Actively contribute to IT strategy and roadmap definition, in close collaboration with Product Management and Architecture.
• Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with business, product, and IT stakeholders, ensuring alignment and shared understanding.
• Support backlog definition and prioritization together with the Product Owner (epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, dependencies, priorities).
• Ensure that business and functional requirements are clearly communicated, understood, testable, and implementable by engineering teams.
• Contribute to the functional solution design, including: functional flows and business logic, data models and data migration approaches and integration and interface definitions (API-driven)
• Support delivery activities such as solution walkthroughs, clarifications, change impact analysis, UAT coordination, and deployment readiness.
• Play a key role in defining data migration strategies and in selecting the most appropriate and pragmatic solution options.

Essential Requirements

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or Functional Analyst, ideally in complex or distributed IT environments.
• Proven experience in requirements gathering, functional analysis, stakeholder management, and backlog definition.
• Strong understanding of API-driven architectures and integration concepts, including API lifecycle management (API gateway, developer portal, exposure, consumption).
• Familiarity with domains such as CRM, portals, billing, charging, reporting, or adjacent enterprise systems.
• Solid knowledge of Agile methodologies and SDLC practices.
• Experience with data modelling, data migration principles, and SQL querying.
• Awareness of security and compliance topics, such as GDPR, access control, and data protection.
• Good understanding of cloud concepts (AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the telecom domain (network services, signalling, roaming, identity, fraud, etc.).
• Experience working on platform products or incubation/innovation initiatives.
• Exposure to Network APIs, CAMARA, NEF, or telco-grade platforms is a strong plus.
