Job Description:
This is what you will do as an IT Architect
· you design functional and technical solutions in a complex application landscape that is deployed in 3 variants
1) outsourced 2) in your own data center 3) in Azure Cloud.
· you help write the target architecture of a business unit and technical reference architectures
· you advise on modern (Cloud) applications and you write high-level designs for them
· you advise the information manager of one of the business units on implementing and improving the application and technical solutions
· you direct the development and realization of the architecture policy at business units and IT
The focus here is on
a) the design of the cloud architecture and
b) the design of the development platform for self-construction. This includes: .Net, Python, R OutSystems, PowerPlatform and various tools for IAC including associated CI/CD tooling, DevSevOps tools for SCA and SAST as well as test support in general such as support for UNIT, UI and integration tests.
We expect the candidate to:
• preferably have at least a completed HBO education and at least 5 years of experience as an IT Architect.
• demonstrable experience in a complex hybrid (cloud) infrastructure.
• strong influencing skills and are analytically strong.
• good communication and advisory skills, so that you get IT professionals and management on board with complex changes.
• a clear vision for the long term and are able to make this concrete into short-term actions and realization.
• a desire to continue developing yourself.
You work as an IT Architect in Utrecht within the IT Architecture department
The IT Architecture team consists of around 20 IT architects who ensure that the right applications and technology is available.
In-depth Knowledge Areas
· Application architecture: designing distributed applications incl. integration in a complex environment.
· Azure (Microsoft Certified Azure Developer + DevOps Engineer + Azure Solution Architect
· Kubernetes
· Programming (Java, C#/.NET, Python, JavaScript, R)
· Development process (Azure DevOps Git, pipelines)
· Infrastructure as code (Bicep, Terraform, Ansible)
