We are looking for an IT Application Manager (f/m/d) Finance Operations who will be responsible for the end-to-end management, stability, and continuous improvement of finance-related IT applications. In this role, you will act as a key interface between Finance, IT, and external service providers, ensuring that financial systems effectively support business processes, compliance requirements, and strategic objectives.
This position is ideal for professionals with 2–4 years of experience in application management, particularly in finance-related environments, who enjoy working at the intersection of technology and financial operations and want to actively contribute to improving and developing financial systems.
Your Key Responsibilities as an IT Application Manager (f/m/d) Finance Operations:
Take ownership of finance-related IT applications (e.g. ERP, reporting, and spend management systems) and manage them throughout their full lifecycle
Ensure the availability, performance, security, and data integrity of financial systems so that finance operations run reliably and efficiently
Administer, maintain, and continuously improve finance applications to support stable processes and an excellent user experience
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system issues, providing first- and second-level support to internal stakeholders
Help ensure seamless integration of financial IT systems across departments, enabling smooth collaboration between Finance and other business functions
Coordinate and implement software updates, patches, and system configurations to keep applications secure and up to date
Support the organization in maintaining compliance with financial regulations and IT security standards
Collaborate closely with Finance and IT teams to enhance system functionality, improve processes, and drive digital finance initiatives
Guide and train end users, sharing best practices and helping colleagues use financial systems effectively and confidently
Requirements
A completed university degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, Information Technology, or a related field
2+ years of experience in IT application management, ideally working with finance or financial systems
A strong understanding of finance processes, such as accounting, controlling, financial reporting, and planning
Hands-on experience with finance applications such as Kendox, Yokoy, TravelPerk, or LucaNet is a plus
Good knowledge of IT service management principles (e.g. ITIL) and structured support processes
Experience working with external vendors and managing service providers in an IT environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a structured and reliable working style
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect business needs and technical solutions
Fluent in English and German
