IRS Test & Site Engineer

We are looking for an energetic and technically-minded Field & Test Engineer to join our team. This is a unique hybrid role that combines hands-on hardware installation, subcontractor management, and software quality assurance. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of our product deployment—from physically racking servers in data centers to performing final acceptance tests with the customer.

Key Responsibilities (Expectations)

1. Field Operations & Subcontractor Coordination

• On-site Supervision: Coordinate and oversee subcontractors during on-site hardware installations to ensure work meets project quality standards.
• Hardware Deployment: Perform hardware installation and IP configuration in Data Centers.
• Maintenance: Handle mid-level hardware tasks, including the replacement of Disks, Network Cards, Memory (RAM), and Power Supply Units (PSU).
• Technical Documentation: Prepare Low-Level Design (LLD) documents and maintain knowledge-sharing records.

2. Software Testing & Quality Assurance

• Acceptance Testing (IAT & UAT): Execute Internal Acceptance Testing (IAT) and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to showcase new software versions and patches to the customer.
• Troubleshooting: Identify, report, and track defects precisely using log tracing and system analysis. Perform regression testing to ensure fixes are successful.
• E2E Video Testing: Conduct End-to-End (E2E) testing for IPTV and OTT applications to verify video delivery performance.
• Test Design: Follow Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS) to write, modify, and update test cases.

3. Operational Support

• Night Operations: Provide support during scheduled night-time windows for software "go-live" events and server migrations.
• Business Travel: Travel frequently to various cities, including Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Adana, Mersin, Antalya, etc.

Requirements

Experience Level: Open to Fresh Graduates (FG) or Junior (Jr) candidates with 0-2 years of experience.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.

Technical Foundations:

• Good understanding of Unix/Linux terminal commands.
• General knowledge of Database systems and SQL queries.
• Basic understanding of Server Networking (IP configuration, eth/bond structures, network routes, and whitelisting).

Tools: Familiarity with testing tools like SoapUI or JMeter.

Soft Skills: Strong communication skills to manage subcontractors and interact professionally with customers during UAT.

Mobility: No travel restrictions and a willingness to work flexible hours (including night shifts when required).
