Roles & Responsibilities:

We are seeking an In-Process Quality Inspector to ensure consistent quality and reliability of battery packs and subassemblies during production. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in battery manufacturing or electronics assembly, with a strong understanding of battery cell behavior, safety parameters, and testing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-process quality inspections across all stages of the battery pack assembly line — from cell preparation to final pack assembly.
  • Verify compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and engineering specifications.
  • Inspect electrical and mechanical connections, including busbar joints, insulation, BMS wiring, and torque values.
  • Monitor and record critical process parameters such as cell voltages, resistance, welding quality, and insulation resistance (IR) values.
  • Conduct visual inspection for defects (dents, leakages, misalignment, connector issues, etc.) and report deviations immediately.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for in-process nonconformities and assist in corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure process control and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain inspection logs, checklists, and reports in digital or manual formats as per documentation standards (ISO / IATF / internal).
  • Participate in line audits, process capability studies, and continuous improvement activities (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke).
  • Ensure adherence to ESD protection, battery safety protocols, and PPE compliance during inspections.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or related field
  • Experience - Min 2 to 4 years
  • Sound understanding of battery pack assembly, cell types (Li-ion, LFP, NMC), and BMS operation.
  • Familiar with electrical testing tools (multimeter, insulation tester, resistance meter, welding checker, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of quality tools and techniques (Pareto, Fishbone, 5 Why, Control Charts).
  • Basic understanding of drawings, wiring diagrams, and torque charts.
  • Strong observation skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
  • Good communication and reporting skills (Excel, QC documentation).
  • Willingness to work in shift operations and fast-paced manufacturing environments.

Preferred Experience (Good to Have):

  • Prior experience in EV battery pack / cell assembly or electronics manufacturing.
  • Exposure to ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 quality systems.
  • Certification or training in quality inspection / six sigma / IPC standards will be an added advantage.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills; able to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset with practical field execution capability.
  • Customer-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to fast-paced EV industry challenges.
