Our industry-leading, IKEA Kreativ app allows millions of customers to scan photorealistic models of their spaces, then furnish them with 3D products, through life-like mobile & web mixed-reality
reinventing home commerce along the way.
As iOS Mobile Capture Engineer, you will join our 3D Capture team, and build innovative features using the latest AR & device sensing technologies to capture the 3D world.
You will work alongside a talented team of mission-driven engineers, scientists, and designers to deliver high-performance and magical mobile experiences that push the state of the art in mobile scene-capture technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and integrate enhancements and features into the AR-enabled IKEA Kreativ app
the world's best room scanning & design experience. - Develop reliable & joyful new features, and robustly integrate Geomagical API services & computer vision/AI libraries, working closely with other teams.
- Develop & maintain high-performance, reusable, reliable AR-enabled Swift code.
- Collaborate with research, product and design teams to prototype new features and interactions, and incorporate feedback from user testing.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest iOS and ARKit and AVFoundation technologies, and contribute new ideas and insights to the mobile team.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code; participate in peer code reviews.
- Investigate and resolve bugs or crashes in a timely manner, and proactively identify and solve potential issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 4+ years of professional experience developing iOS apps for sizable audiences.
- Strong Swift programmer, with experience using SwiftUI.
- Experience developing AR & camera/video apps using ARKit & AVFoundation.
- Proficient with 3D core concepts (camera & model transforms, poses, matrix math).
- Can work effectively in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- BONUS: Understanding of computer vision and machine learning concepts.
- BONUS: Experience building mobile apps using computer vision or ML technologies.
- BONUS: Experience with Android development and ARCore APIs.

- The USA base salary for this full-time position ranges from $160,000 to $250,000 determined by location, role, skill, and experience level.
