What is Jar?
Jar is a savings app that helps its users save daily in the form of digital gold — we wish to help Indians rediscover the long-term benefits of habitual daily savings in an era where instant gratification is king.
Jar was founded by Nishchay AG, former director and founding member at mobility start-up Bounce, and Misbah Ashraf, founder of community-focused e-commerce platform Marsplay.
What does Jar do?
Jar is building a micro-wealth management platform, one step at a time — starting with micro savings, financial literacy, micro investments, and encouraging people to habituate the act of saving.
Responsibilities:
- Owning significant architectural and product areas of the platform
- You'll make the key decisions and see them through to successful user engagement
- Delivering features that make a big impact on our growth journey
- Writing high-quality, highly-performant code
- Pushing changes every week
- Participating in code reviews and architectural discussions - we want you to bring your expertise to the team and make us all better engineers
Requirements:
- Possess 3+ years of experience in product development, architecture, and design-
- Experienced in Swift, or have a strong desire to shift to swift
- Strong understanding of algorithms
- Experienced in UIKit & Swift UI
- Strong knowledge of iOS frameworks, and different versions of iOS, and know how to deal with different screen sizes
- Experience with storage, threading, and performance tuning
- Strong knowledge of iOS architectural components and design patterns
- Are good in pixel-perfect implementation of designs
- Deep understanding of memory management, multi-threaded programming, and synchronization
- Prior experience in a lending/loan product will be preferred

Note: This role requires you to learn Kotlin multi-platform as all the business logic will be in Kotlin & the UI part will be in iOS native.
