The successful candidate will have a track record in managing operations teams in mission critical production environments coupled with an deep knowledge of technologies, standards, and industry guidelines as they apply to the hosted infrastructure space.
Operating a critical service the successful candidate will be directly responsible for day to day activities of the platform team with key involvement in managing resources delivering time sensitive workstreams in an ITIL based environment (incident, change, problem management). Essential will be a can do attitude which will see the successful candidate responsible for support of our global clients production trading environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the portfolio of infrastructure projects in the APAC region, including datacenter moves, deployment of backup solutions, and rollout of security tools.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, including local and global stakeholders, to achieve project objectives.
Provide regular project updates, status reports, and risk assessments to senior management and stakeholders.
Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively resolving issues to ensure successful delivery.
Collaborate with global teams to deliver global infrastructure projects from a local APAC perspective, ensuring alignment with global standards and processes.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to optimize project delivery and operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, security, and quality standards throughout project lifecycles.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, partners, and internal teams to support project and operational success.
Step in to support operational teams in managing Priority 1 incidents, providing leadership and guidance during critical events.
Assist in triaging and prioritizing project requests from sales and delivery teams, ensuring effective resource allocation and timely response to business needs.
Support operational teams by providing management coverage for incident response, service requests, and operational queries as needed.
Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Proven experience managing complex infrastructure projects and programmes in enterprise environments, such as datacentre migrations, backup deployments, and security tool rollouts.
Strong programme and project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
·Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including technical teams, senior leadership, vendors, and external partners.
Demonstrated leadership in running Priority 1 incidents and supporting operational teams during critical events.
Experience triaging and prioritizing project requests from sales and delivery teams, ensuring effective resource allocation.
Skilled in stakeholder management, able to build consensus and drive collaboration across global and local teams.
Familiarity with infrastructure technologies (datacentre, networking, storage, cloud, security) and operational best practices.
Experience working in geographically distributed and culturally diverse teams, with a global mindset and local execution capability.
Proficiency with project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of regulatory, compliance, and security requirements relevant to infrastructure projects.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Technology, Engineering, Business) or equivalent experience; professional certifications in project/programme management are a plus
