Investment Operations Analyst 12 month FTC

We’re on the lookout for an Investment operations analyst to join our Investment Operations department for a 12 month fixed term contract.

Integral to this role is organisation and attention to detail. This means being a pro at managing work flow items assigned to you and supporting the team in a variety of investment operations functions. You may also get the opportunity to get involved in other aspects of Investment Operations too including Trading, Confirmations, Settlements, Dividends, Corporate Actions and Asset Onboarding. Every day you’ll manage your assigned tasks, ensuring actions are dealt with within agreed timeframes, enabling our advisers to get the best outcome for their clients.

You’ll spend your time:

• Ensuring trades in all securities types are executed in line with our order execution policy
• Supporting the investment operations team across the investment lifecycle, from asset onboarding through the trading process and corporate actions as required.
• Monitoring our outstanding trades position and chasing counterparties where necessary
• Managing internal and external queries, across multiple channels
• Matching trade confirmations and monitoring automated jobs
• Arranging settlement with counterparties
• Check peers work
• Supporting the investment operations team across the investment lifecycle, from asset onboarding through the trading process and corporate actions as required.
• Updating procedures & controls
• Sharing your knowledge across the platform operations team and wider business
• Building and maintain third-party relationships, ensuring we get the best from our suppliers and our clients are at the heart of everything you do

A bit about you
Your friends would probably describe you as the “super-organised” one, ridiculously well planned and someone who takes time to really understand people and their needs. You’re the type of person who asks great questions to understand expectations but can react like lightening to solve problems as they occur.

We’ve always placed more importance on cultural contribution above technical ability, but we’d really like you to have/be:

• Previous experience in the financial services industry and ideally working with a wrap platform
• Understanding of the trading process, from execution through to settlement and reconciliation.
• Knowledge of different asset classes and impact to operational processes
• Excellent relationship building skills
• Able to prioritise the high impact work, but never neglect the details
• Excellent communication skills – We need you to be completely comfortable representing our culture and values, with an emphasis on a speedy, friendly style
• Able to anticipate the needs of those you work with, juggling conflicting priorities
• The ability to think laterally and come up with new solutions to old problems
