We are seeking a dynamic, technically knowledgeable Inventory Operations Manager to drive and transform our inventory controls and processes. You will be based onsite in Pittsburgh, PA, five days a week.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive Scalability Roadmap: Set the vision and execute the roadmap for Pittsburgh inventory operations, driving process maturity and scalability for the critical shift from R&D to high-volume manufacturing.
  • Ensure Financial Rigor: Enforce rigorous inventory control by mandating FIFO discipline, achieving high cycle count accuracy, and leading all inventory true-up and reconciliation initiatives.
  • Manage Service Excellence: Establish and maintain best-in-class Service Levels (SLAs) across all internal and external stakeholders. Establish, measure and optimize key performance metrics to drive speed, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement: Identify, propose, and implement data-driven process improvements (e.g., Lean/Six Sigma). Collaborate closely with the Material Planning team to optimize material flow and ensure inventory processes support accurate material forecasts.
  • Team Leadership & Reporting: Lead inventory personnel and drive cross-functional alignment by running routine metric reviews, risk assessments, and executive status reporting. Manage team schedules, prioritize workload and activities across the team, ensure personnel are appropriately cross trained.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5-7+ years in Inventory Management, Warehousing Operations, or Supply Chain Leadership, ideally within high-tech, automotive, aerospace, or manufacturing environments.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong background in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), Inventory Control, and Financial Accountability. Familiarity with inventory metrics is required.
  • Leadership: Proven success leading operational teams and delivering measurable improvements in a dynamic, continuously shifting environment.
  • Core Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • APICS Certification (CPIM or CSCP) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a start-up or fast-growth company environment.
  • Familiarity with Contract Manufacturing and offshore supply chain operations.
  • Exposure to autonomy, robotics, or other emerging technologies.
