About The Role

As an Inventory Accounting Manager, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end ownership of inventory accuracy across all accounts, partners and regions. You’ll work cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Deployment, and external partners to ensure inventory data is accurate, reconciled, and aligned with financial reporting.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys digging into data, solving discrepancies, and building strong working relationships, while maintaining a high bar for accuracy, accountability, and process improvement.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own end-to-end inventory and offsite equipment accountability across the company, ensuring balances are accurate, reconciled, and aligned with financial reporting and IFRS requirements

  • Act as the Finance owner for inventory and offsite equipment, partnering with Operations, Deployment, Sales Ops, Supply Chain, and external partners to resolve discrepancies and drive corrective action

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end inventory and offsite equipment close activities, including reconciliations, variance analysis, root-cause investigation, journal entries, and audit-ready documentation and walkthroughs

  • Identify and mitigate inventory and asset risk, including aging inventory, shrink, obsolete equipment, write-offs, and process gaps that impact gross margin or audit readiness

  • Translate inventory and equipment activity into financial outcomes, ensuring proper treatment in COGS, capitalization, depreciation, amortization, and margin reporting

  • Establish, document, and enforce inventory and fixed asset controls, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and external audit requirements

  • Act as a trusted advisor to Finance leadership and cross-functional partners, providing inventory and asset reporting and executive-ready insights that highlight trends, risks, root causes, and improvement opportunities across the asset lifecycle

  • Continuously improve inventory, offsite equipment, and fixed asset processes, reducing manual effort and increasing system reliability and automation

  • Drive system alignment and automation across manufacturers, suppliers, 3PLs, Salesforce, Klairy, and NetSuite to ensure accurate, timely, and auditable reporting

A little bit about you:

  • 5+ years of experience in inventory management, account management, finance, or operations

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and investigate discrepancies

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (reconciliations, pivots, lookups)

  • Experience with ERP, inventory management systems and ordering systems/CRM

  • Experience supporting audits or compliance initiatives

  • Experience working cross-functionally and managing multiple stakeholders

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through

  • Comfortable owning problems end-to-end and driving resolution

  • Clear communicator who can explain complex inventory or financial issues simply

  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, scaling environment

Nice to Haves:

  • Background in hardware-enabled SaaS, or supply chain environments

  • Experience analyzing and working with large, complex datasets to generate insights and support decision-making

  • Familiarity with data querying, modeling, and visualization tools, such as SQL, Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms

Security Requirements

  • Criminal background check upon hire.

  • Must be a Canadian Citizen (dual citizens included) or otherwise eligible to work in Canada.

  • Compliance with Solink’s security policies and standards is required.
