Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) is one of the largest integrated sports and entertainment companies in the country with one of the most diverse partnership groups in all of sports. Position Overview:

The Washington Capitals Youth Hockey Development Intern will be responsible for assisting in all day-to-day operations of the department focusing on community outreach and growing the game of hockey. This is a paid internship.

Responsibilities:

Organize and participate in various street/inline hockey events throughout the summer.
Coordinate and complete various on-ice, off-ice, and hockey school clinics and events throughout the summer, while serving as both a coach on the ice and administrator as needed.
Develop new and enhance current community hockey programs to be implemented throughout the season.
Represent the Washington Capitals at local community fairs, festivals, and grassroots events.
Assist in the planning and execution of programs within the ALL CAPS ALL HER platform.
Participate in all summer on-ice hockey clinics and camps.
Maintain the Youth Hockey Database with participant data from all events.
Create and organize various analytical and database and social media metric reports for youth hockey programs and players.
Additional duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Previous ice hockey playing experience and ice hockey skating proficiency required.
Ability to learn quickly and motivation to self-teach.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Organized, thorough, and detail oriented.
Basic level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Positive mindset and strong team spirit.
Reliable transportation and housing in the Washington, D.C. area
Ability to work nights and weekends as needed based on event schedule.

Pay Rate: $17.95 USD/hour
