INTERNSHIP - Solution Engineer

Your Responsibilities

The Project Solutions team mission is to evaluate all new Smart Home opportunities for Legrand group before being approved for development. Interfacing with product marketing entities from the group, external partners, and different R&D centers, high level problems are then transformed into well-defined business opportunities with consistent solutions.

New opportunities and roadmap construction need to rely on strategic orientations and key innovative technologies evaluation. For that purpose, we are looking for a dynamic and passionate Smart Home Solution Engineer Intern.

Your work will consist in

• Interviewing different stakeholders (Product Marketing, R&D, sales) to identify current knowledge and key players from Legrand group.
• Gathering information from different sources (internet, trade shows, specifics studies, real-life installation visit, direct inquiries by mail, meetings, etc.) to provide a clear synthesis for evaluation.
• Evaluating from a technical and usage point of view the technologies targeted, as well as eventual pains and constraints including installation flow.
• Installing and analyzing existing product from the competition.
• Proposing technical tracks and potential new products upon the strategy given.

Your Profile 

• MS / engineering degree or similar looking for an internship
• Analytical and pragmatic with a problem-solving and use-cases oriented mind-set
• Ability to quickly grasp new technical concepts, compare and benchmark with competitors
• Ability to understand and challenge business and marketing inputs
• Autonomous and strong solution leader, as well as problem solver
• Excellent at written and oral communication, making complex ideas understandable to a wide audience.
• Fluent in English
