Support the media supply chain by monitoring production systems, implementing automations, and contributing to data-driven decisions for high-quality content delivery.
MEDIA OPERATIONS & SUPPORT
As Software Engineer Intern for our Media Services, you'll help keep our media supply chain running smoothly. You’ll monitor production systems via logs and dashboards, spot irregularities early, and create clear action plans when issues occur. You'll reach out to end users where needed (e.g., to re‑process media files) and align with our engineering teams to make sure problems are understood and resolved. Your hands-on support helps ensure that our content is reliably available for millions of viewers worldwide.
AUTOMATION & INTELLIGENCE
You’ll get your hands dirty with the technical backbone of our media workflows. This includes modeling automations and implementing maintenance tasks to repair broken media files, correct metadata issues, and re‑transcode content when specifications change. You’ll also experiment with new tooling in areas like visual understanding, transcription, and automatic tagging (e.g., semantic tags, face and person recognition) to explore how we can automate more of our media workflows. Together with the team, you'll evaluate new vendors and offerings, review their APIs and specifications, run sample workloads and do quality and performance tests to see what really works for us.
DATA & ANALYTICS
Data is at the core of how we operate and make decisions. In this role, you'll help translate requirements into concrete (meta-)data models and structures that our systems can actually use. You’ll look into existing data products and support the creation of dashboards and reports that help us make data‑driven decisions across our media workflows. By combining your interest in data with your affinity for media, you contribute to better visibility, smarter insights, and higher‑quality content delivery.
TEAM & CULTURE
Culture is key to our team. As our intern, you’ll prove yourself as a communicative team player. You’re interested in gaining new experiences, learning new things, and discovering opportunities we can explore together. You become part of a culture of appreciation and respect, where it is safe to make mistakes, to learn and to improve.
