Objective:


Support Process Development activities related to the design and development of new processes, sub-processes, tools, and technologies for new product development. The intern will assist experienced engineers by participating in planning, execution, documentation, and coordination with other departments, ensuring that products and processes are developed and transferred to Operations in compliance with quality systems, regulatory requirements, and company objectives.

 

Main responsibilities:



  • Assist experienced engineers in design and development activities related to new products, design changes, processes, sub-processes, tools, and technologies (both software and equipment).
  • Support configuration and validation activities for new products and processes in the ERP system or other applicable systems, under supervision.
  • Participate in value engineering initiatives by supporting data collection, analysis, and implementation of improvement actions.
  • Assist in the execution of experimental tests and technical studies, following established quality systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and update project documentation and provide status updates to the direct manager and project team as required.
  • Support continuous improvement projects and initiatives, contributing ideas and assisting with implementation tasks.
  • Identify and report potential EHS risks or observations, and support preventive or corrective actions as directed.
  • Assist with CAPA and NCER activities related to Process Development, including data gathering, documentation, and follow-up tasks under engineer guidance



Requirements:



  • Active university student in Chemistry, Industrial Design or  Industrial engineering. 
  • English B2 (reading and writing) 
  • Microsoft Office

Important Details:



  • 5 days per week, flexibility to adjust working hours based on university.
  • On Site Internship: Coyol Free Zone, Alajuela
