The Game Engine QA team at Larian Studios is the main supporting pillar of all internal developer teams, ensuring the stability of the Engine, Tools, and Game. This team is responsible for testing and providing feedback on all newly developed features. They also create and maintain automated testing processes for the Engine, Tools, and Game, as well as various automated pipelines to assist internal teams. Game Engine QA is a fully established career path within the company.
Responsibilities
Perform all kinds of manual testing (regression, integration, etc.)
Closely assist the programming team with testing specific changes before the code gets into the main developer branches
Test and help improve our production pipelines and tools
Test new builds to ensure the stability of the tools
Follow priorities given by the QA Lead to ensure current team-wide goals are met.
Report bugs, validate bug corrections
Assure follow-up of tickets during different production phases
Manage the bug-tracking system
First line of support for the production team with regard to any technical issues
Requirements
Knowledge in programming and/or scripting
Knowledge working with Game Engines
Knowledge with version control systems;
Good judgment in estimating the significance and consequences of the bugs
Rigorous and methodical, autonomous and resourceful approach
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Good communication skills in spoken/written English (must have a resume in English)
