We, the QHSE-team, are looking for a second- or /third-year student or as a working student of Integral Safety Science (HBO) or Secondary Safety Expert to complete a 3 or 6-month internship from 1 February 2026 to (undefined date) at the QHSE department. He/she will be introduced to all QHSE aspects that play a role in and around the Bio-energy systems that have been developed, built and commissioned at or by the HoSt Group. Together with a Senior Safety Expert as your supervisor, you will have the opportunity to actively engage in a wide range of tasks and integrate health, safety and environmental requirements into our daily operations. At our HoSt locations, you will keep a close eye out for risks or areas for improvement and help translate these into concrete improvement actions within our dynamic organisation.

Your tasks:

  • Providing substantive support for HSE-toolboxes and e-learning materials relating to health and safety according to the HoSt QHSE policy;

  • Follow up plans of actions based on the recent Risk Assessment and Risk Evaluations;

  • Drafting and implementing a policy on hazardous substances, CMR* substances. A guide to hazardous waste for operational managers and operational staff, focusing on the bottlenecks surrounding the separate collection of hazardous (waste) substances, to improve our sustainable business practices;

  • Trend and SWOT analysis regarding Health Safety & Environment (HSE) based on the (Q)HSE Incident reports and support the Quality-coordinator.
