Our dedicated tax team is specifically trained in dealing with complex tax issues for privately held businesses, including federal, state, and local tax strategies, and international matters. This position is a unique opportunity with tremendous growth potential for the right candidate who wants to directly impact the growth of a specialized niche within an existing tax practice.   • International Engagement Management: Manage complex international tax engagements involving both inbound and outbound transactions, including U.S. tax compliance, reporting, and withholding requirements. This position will take on a key role on a large engagement with significant visibility which requires working in a fast paced environment, handling complex international tax issues, and establishing priorities appropriately. 
  • Cross-Border Coordination: Lead and coordinate cross-border teams across multiple jurisdictions to ensure seamless project execution and timely delivery.
  • International Partnership Tax Compliance: Oversee and review U.S. international partnership tax filings, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with evolving tax regulations.
  • Review & Compliance: Review complex U.S. international tax-related forms (such as Forms 5471, 8865, 8858, 8621, 1120-F, 5472, and the 8804/1042/W-8BEN series) to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and implement tax planning opportunities for multinational clients.
  • Mentorship: Serve as a technical resource and mentor to staff, promoting knowledge-sharing and consistent execution across teams.
  • Engagement Profitability: Responsible for the engagement profitability, including billings and collections.
  • Research & Analysis: Delegate, manage, and perform tax research projects to achieve an accurate and efficient product, demonstrating an understanding of complex international tax concepts.
  • What skills & experience you’ll bring to us:
  • Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related equivalent, as well as CPA certification. A Master of Science degree in Taxation or a J.D. is highly preferred.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of Subchapter K (partnership tax) and US international tax issues affecting clients in private equity and partnership structures as well as related operating company issues.
  • International Tax Knowledge: Strong experience with withholding tax, foreign tax credits, and reporting for inbound/outbound structures.
  • Experience Level: 5+ years of experience performing research and providing quality technical advice, with a strong background in International Tax Compliance.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage large-scale, multi-country projects and coordinate diverse teams.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate complex tax concepts into clear, practical advice.
  • Technology: Proficiency in the use of computer tax preparation, tax research, and tax planning software programs.

    GHJ complies with all local/state regulations in regards to displaying salary ranges. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD, technology), for example. At GHJ, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $130,000 - $165,000.
