Utilizing innovative technology, dynamic training, and modern facilities, we provide our staff with growth opportunities throughout various industry paths.    POSITION OVERVIEW: The International Instructor will work within the organization’s Latin American Operations to ensure that players are receiving instruction that is aligned with organizational standards while they are away from Red Sox facilities.  The position will work closely with both the International Scouting & Player Development departments to monitor progress, provide instruction, and take measurables of players in Dominican Republic.  The role may also include monitoring the off-season progress of Red Sox players residing in Dominican Republic, as well as assisting at Red Sox workouts around the country and at DR Academy. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work with players across Dominican Republic with regular check-ins.
  • Log progress and provide Red Sox leadership with feedback after meetings with players.
  • Help collect data (such as Blast Motion and Athletic Testing) and video to monitor progress of assigned players.
  • Ensure alignment between the player and PD Department initiatives while away from Red Sox facilities.
  • Provide daily communication and periodic feedback reports to players, coaches, coordinators, and front office.
  • Assist at DR Academy when necessary.
  • Assist Red Sox workouts as assigned by Scouting staff.
  • Additional duties or projects assigned by upper management (Directors, VP’s, etc). 
  • ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Applicants are expected to fulfill the duration of the position.
  • High level of interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with wide range of departments, seniority levels and personalities.
  • Prefer applicants with some combination of coaching, playing, scouting, baseball technology experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Ability to travel within Dominican Republic and to other countries as assigned
