Role Overview

The International Accounting Lead will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of our ex-US entities. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, managing financial reporting, and supporting business objectives through effective financial management. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple jurisdictions.

What You'll Do

  • Accounting Close:

    • Lead end-to-end month-end close process for non-US entities, including but not limited to, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and Payroll, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.

    • Responsible for accuracy of subsidiary level financial close process, including entity level trial balance review, cost-plus revenue calculations, funding and settlement.

    • Take the lead in ensuring intercompany accounting is done accurately and efficiently by developing scalable process and working toward automation.

    • Research emerging accounting issues, draft technical memos, and support reviews with internal and external auditors.

    • Support HQ with international Account Reconciliations.

    • Prepare monthly management reports and variance analyses.

  • Statutory Reporting:

    • Coordinate statutory audits for all European entities, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors

    • Prepare and review annual financial statements in compliance with local GAAP and IFRS as applicable

  • Customer Contract Review:

    • Review commercial and vendor contracts for financial and compliance implications

    • Approve and execute contracts in accordance with internal controls and authorization matrices

  • Finance and Other Support:

    • Collaborate with business leaders and the global finance team to develop annual budgets and periodic forecasts

    • Collaborate with Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Legal, and FP&A teams to review deal structures and identify potential accounting implications.

    • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making

    • Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, identifying risks and opportunities

    • Other operations tasks in support of establishing the Company’s presence in Ireland


What You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity

  • Experience in high-growth venture backed technology company

  • Strong knowledge of European statutory reporting, tax compliance, and audit processes

  • Experience with contract review

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. Netsuite, Workday) and advanced Excel skills

  • Experience other financial systems, such as, SFDC and Neu.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, multi-entity environment

  • Experience implementing and maintaining Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance
