What’s the opportunity?
As an Internal Systems Engineer – Technical Referent at dLocal, you will own and enhance the tools, systems, and integrations that power the company’s internal operations. This role blends Jira administration, system integration engineering, and system administration responsibilities into a unified position focused on efficiency, automation, reliability, and governance. You will leverage AI-assisted tooling to accelerate triage, knowledge retrieval, documentation, safe scripting, and automation, following privacy and security guidelines.
You will help support and optimize our Atlassian ecosystem, integrate business-critical applications, manage identity and access workflows, and contribute to the stability and security of our IT infrastructure. This is a hands-on role where technical depth, problem-solving, and cross-team collaboration are essential.
What will I be doing?
Manage and improve our core IT systems and applications, ensuring reliability, security, and smooth day-to-day operations across the organization.
Configure, administer, and optimize Jira and related Atlassian tools, overseeing workflows, automations, integrations, and backend configurations that support business processes.
Drive the integration of new software and SaaS tools into our ecosystem. Example integrations may include (but are not limited to) Glean, Slack, Zapier, Omnitrack, HubSpot, Jira, Azure, AWS and GCP.
Implement automation for recurring operational tasks, reducing manual effort and improving efficiency across both IT and business workflows.
Leverage AI tools to streamline incident triage/summarization, knowledge search, KB/runbook drafting, safe script generation, log analysis, and small automations, adhering to privacy, security, and responsible use practices.
Oversee escalations from Level 1 support, providing deep technical expertise to resolve complex issues and ensure timely solutions.
Monitor key systems, troubleshoot technical problems, and coordinate preventive maintenance to maintain high service availability.
Evaluate, deploy, and maintain add-ons, integrations, and third-party tools (e.g., Jamf, Intune, manageability platforms) to create a cohesive and well-governed IT environment.
Ensure data consistency, system compliance, and adherence to IT governance best practices across all tools and integrations.
Develop and maintain documentation for systems, workflows, and processes to ensure clarity, continuity, and operational excellence.
Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to streamline processes, improve tooling, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
What skills do I need?
Proven experience in Jira/Atlassian administration (Cloud), including workflows, automation, and integrations.
Strong knowledge of identity systems such as Azure Active Directory, SSO, SCIM, and access governance.
Experience with system integration via REST APIs, webhooks, scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash), or automation platforms. Exposure to tools such as Glean, Slack, Zapier, Omnitrack, HubSpot, Jira, Lever or cloud providers such as Azure, AWS and GCP is a plus.
Background in system administration (Windows, macOS, or Linux), endpoint management tools, and SaaS application management.
Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across multiple systems and platforms.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning long-term operational improvements.
Experience with ITSM tools and IT process design is a plus.
