YOUR TASKS

Oversees green tire inventory, flow, and curing coordination on an assigned shift, ensuring production continuity, quality compliance, and on-time delivery. Serves as a safety-focused liaison between operations, maintenance, and leadership while supporting problem-solving, training, and team effectiveness.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Manage green tire inventory accuracy, storage organization, and quarantine tracking
  • Coordinate tire flow, sequencing, and phase-in/phase-out activities to support curing operations
  • Monitor curing processes and intervene early to prevent production disruptions
  • Promote and enforce safety, quality, environmental, and policy compliance
  • Support structured problem-solving efforts (e.g., CBS, 5 Why, 4D)
  • Train, mentor, and coach team members to build capability and teamwork
  • Serve as a liaison between hourly employees, supervision, and maintenance, including SAP work orders and reporting
  • Be self-managed, detail-oriented, and capable of performing under pressure
  • Follow all plant, ESH, CBS, quality, and department processes and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two or more years' experience in the curing department at Continental Tire Sumter
  • This role is an internal only position, external applicants will not be considered for this role

  • No relocation assistance is offered for this position

ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT

  • Set Up Tech and/or Hirata certified in the curing department
  • Excel, SAP, and MMS experience
