YOUR TASKS

This role involves operating machinery, supporting production flow, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency in daily operations.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Operate and monitor all the equipment and machines within the CSS area most of the tasks while meeting corporate quality and safety standards
  • Assist and fill in for lead with daily production flow
  • Use independent judgment to support, make decisions, and troubleshoot in areas of set-up, operation, and processes
  • Filter cleaning for the laser cleaner
  • Coordination and organization of the rework area
  • Scrap 1 monitoring
  • Support the Continental Business System (CBS) structure by participating in the applicable CBT meeting, reviewing and managing his/her/team performance, conducting simple problem-solving using action sheets, identifying and implementing improvement opportunities, participating in the CBT reviews, and taking ownership for presented parts of the team boards
  • Follow the internal ESH work instructions in the daily work
  • Demonstrate exemplary personal behavior in ESH and motivate others
  • Ensure immediate notification and response, and initiate preventive measures in case of unsafe or polluting hazards
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One or more years of experience in the CSS department at Continental Tire Sumter and rated exceptional or higher on current performance dialogue
  • Certified in all operations in CSS and TSE
  • This role is an internal only position, external applicants will not be considered for this role
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening
