Our internal professionals work closely with the business units they support, holding high-profile roles. We are seeking an Internal Communications Manager to be the face of internal communications for A&M EMEA. In addition to our intranet, there are a myriad of communications channels available to our staff and we need to integrate communications across them to reach our ever increasing A&M EMEA staff footprint. The successful candidate will play a vital role in developing our evolving EMEA internal communications strategy with relevant stakeholders, and will primarily be responsible for the delivery of internal content.

The ideal candidate will be a multi-faceted content creator, editor, and publisher. Our messaging needs to be clear, consistent, attract attention, and generate interest across all our staff – some of whom are on client sites for significant periods of time. Our firm has many different divisions and regions, and this person will work with these groups so that they can leverage all the content produced. This role requires the keen ability to multi-task in order to deliver a wide range of communications on a variety of topics, manage communications pipelines for the firm, and support teams such as Operations, Marketing, HR and others in their communication with the business. Given this aspect of the role is important to the success of the role you will be a natural business champion who loves working with people and their content – bringing it to life and giving it energy.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Related work experience in a similar role for 5 – 8 years
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in managing multichannel communication platforms
  • An experienced content publisher who can work independently to curate, edit and publish content to multiple channels
  • Experience with digital publishing (or e-publishing) platforms and comfortable in using online technology to digitise and distribute media through electronic devices (computers, tablets, smartphones, etc.)
  • Proven experience working consultatively with professionals of all levels including C-Suite
  • Experience working in managing corporate communications within a SharePoint Online Intranet, ideally at a professional services or consultancy firm
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online
  • Good project and change management skills
  • Able to manage a communications pipeline, and multi-task
  • Outstanding customer relationship management skills, able to manage expectations, delivery timescales, and agree outputs

Your responsibilities

You will fulfill a wide range of varied internal communications activities by interacting directly with A&M stakeholders from all divisions and across all levels. You will engage in the full life-cycle of the requirement, from the scoping phase - to delivering the final content. More specifically your responsibilities will include:

Develop/maintain EMEA communications strategy, and stakeholder engagement:

  • Build relationships with and gain buy-in of stakeholders at all levels, engaging geographic and SBU level content coordinators to drive consistency in approach, ensuring alignment with the content strategy, communication standards and guidelines
  • Drive engagement across the business, encouraging adoption of communication
  • collaboration tools and the provision of insightful analytics to key stakeholders
  • Build relationships & partner across other shared services to best support business units in the achievement of their communication goals such as IT, HR, Legal etc…

Provide internal communications services to A&M EMEA:

  • Work with EMEA leadership team and local marketing personnel to support communication initiatives by creating engaging content and identifying ways to increase market awareness and engagement
  • Oversee primary corporate intranet landing pages to maintain a good balance of content and tools, ensuring that pages are current and engaging
  • Create relevant content, including proofreading and editing existing content such as social media content, web content and digital ads, and push content through the various channels
  • Monitor channel usage, make suggestions for improvements, and translate data into understandable reports that help content owners improve content and drive usage of our communication channels including the intranet
  • Promote A&M’s intranet, including developing and delivering various trainings and workshops for content owners (such as tips/tips, videos, and training guides)
  • In partnership with the Global and EMEA leadership team, develop wider communication training plans and manage training delivery methods

Partner with A&M Business units and Corporate groups on EMEA content initiatives:

  • Provide stakeholder guidance on taxonomy and metadata tagging best practices
  • Investigate and promote new solutions within SharePoint and other channels, to repurpose content to reach our internal audience
  • Identify internal and external communication solutions and trends and best practices; communicate, sponsor and if approved, promote these to business unit contacts
  • Suggest other channel innovations
