At Wealthsimple, we offer 4 to 8-month internships that are open to co-op and non-co-op students, and recent grads. During your internship, you will have the opportunity to contribute to projects that are changing the landscape of financial services for Canadians. You will be on a team that supports your growth, provides mentorship, and connects you to the broader Wealthsimple community!Our internship program follows a hybrid work model, where you’ll be working from our Toronto headquarters on Wednesdays and Thursdays. This structure offers the flexibility of remote work, while also providing the collaboration, connection, and mentorship that come from being together in person.
✔ Currently enrolled as a student at a Canadian post-secondary institution or technical bootcamp
✔ New graduates - Within 6 months of your graduation date

✔ Able to commute to our Toronto HQ on Wednesdays and Thursdays
Reporting to the Director, Treasury & Capital Markets, the successful candidate will build and shape Wealthsimple’s Treasury initiatives and support the broader product launches. This is a 4-month term that will run from May 11 - August 28.
Conduct research and data analysis to support the development of strategic proposals, and assist in drafting business proposals and presentation materials for both internal and external partners
Support negotiations with banks, fintechs, and other financial partners in order to expand partnerships to support Wealthsimple products
Assist the treasury team with ad hoc projects and operational tasks
Learn to identify process improvement opportunities (including AI adoptions & AI-led workflows) and develop remediation plans for deficiencies
Learn about the fintech industry and how to analyze and interpret financial data and trends.
Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field,
Has basic understanding of accounting principles and concepts,
Has ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines,
Is passionate about technology, specifically fintech, and AI,
Combines energy, enthusiasm, and intellectual curiosity, with a demonstrated interest in accounting, finance, and analytics,
Excellent attention to details, combined with strong communication and collaboration skills.
