Job description:

  • Research and analysis – conduct desktop research and analysis on market catalyst matters, geopolitical and/ or business trends. Prepare reports presenting findings and insights to support client advisory.
  • Media monitoring – support the team in monitoring news coverage related to client activities and relevant fields of interest.
  • Media landscape scanning – stay current with trends, news, and developments in the media landscape. Develop knowledge of key media outlets and influential journalists to support client account work.
  • Content development – create compelling content for various communications channels, including traditional media, digital platforms, and social media. Work with colleagues to develop client-ready documents such as presentations and reports.
  • Account support – support the wider account team in managing client relationships. This includes assisting during client meetings, developing and maintaining communication materials, taking notes, updating project trackers, and ensuring all client needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Financial communications & investor relations - conduct research, develop messaging, and create content including copywriting. Support the team in developing client-ready documents such as presentations, reports, earnings releases, and Q&As.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's or postgraduate degree, ideally in journalism and communications, international relations, public policy, finance, or economics
  • Critical thinkers who are eager to learn, detail-oriented, and possess strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrates strong written and face-to-face communication skills when sharing information
  • Familiarity with social media platform management (WeChat, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) an added advantage
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
  • International experience (study and/or work) a plus
  • Basic financial literacy and understanding of capital markets and trends, with a strong appetite for geopolitics and macroeconomic/finance events
  • Candidate needs to be confident, mature, and outgoing. An entrepreneurial spirit, can-do attitude, and being a team player are essential
  • Must display a strong work ethic, high standards, and commitment to the role
  • Native fluency in Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) and high proficiency in English is essential
