Support the Program Management Office in enhancing the efficiency of defense technology projects while providing a pathway to a permanent management role.
STARK is a new kind of defence technology company, revolutionizing the way autonomous systems are deployed across multiple domains. We design, develop and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are software-defined, mass-scalable, and cost-effective.
As a Project Management Intern, you are the "connective tissue" of our engineering and operations teams. Your mission is to support the Program Management Office (PMO) in making complex hardware and software programs move faster.
This is not a "coffee-fetching" internship. You will be at the organizational core of strategic defense programs, helping to translate engineering chaos into structured progress. You will support our Senior Program Managers in tracking milestones, unblocking engineers, and ensuring that communication flows smoothly across the company. This role is a testing ground: we are looking for high-potential talent who can prove themselves during this internship and transition into a permanent Junior Project Manager role.Project Coordination & Tracking
Progress Monitoring: Assist in tracking project milestones and workstreams using tools like Jira and Confluence. Ensure that task statuses are up-to-date and deadlines are visible.
Meeting Excellence: Support the organization of cross-functional meetings. You will be responsible for capturing key decisions, tracking action items, and following up with owners to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
Reporting: Help build and maintain project dashboards and status reports for leadership, providing a clear view of program health and risks.
Structure & Documentation
Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in our current workflows and work with the PMO to propose and implement leaner, more efficient processes.
Documentation: Ensure project documentation is structured, audit-ready, and easily accessible for engineering, production, and operations teams.
Resource Support: Assist in coordinating logistics between teams, such as ensuring hardware prototypes are ready for scheduled testing windows.
Academic Path: Currently enrolled in or between a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or similar
Technical Path: We also welcome candidates with a strong technical/vocational background (e.g., aircraft mechanics, electronics, or high-end RC modeling) who want to transition into a pilot, flight testing or engineering environment.
Hands-on Aptitude: You are comfortable using tools and working with hardware. You have a natural curiosity for how things are built and how they break.
UAV Interest: Initial exposure to UAVs—whether through university projects, personal hobbies, or previous internships—is highly valued.
Operational Mindset: You are proactive and detail-oriented; you look for the missing screw or the loose cable before it becomes a problem.
Resilience: You are happy to work outdoors in various conditions and can handle the fast-paced, iterative nature of a defense-tech startup.
Communication: Strong collaboration skills in English (German is a plus).
