The vision of the ML Horizontal Platforms team is to build and own the building blocks of all of our AI platforms such that data pipeline scalability, reliability, and developer experience are optimized for both our platform customers and platform sister teams (including the training platform, and data processing platform). The team owns and develops Cruise’s workflow management platform. The platform provides a semantic Orchestration framework for machine learning workflows and data processing at Cruise. We provide the necessary orchestration, big data, and compute layer to greatly accelerate the development cycle of AV engineers by empowering engineers to focus on improving the car’s safety and performance.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
1. Partner with a mentor in the team and own technical project/features from start to finish
2. Effectively participate in project’s code reviews, and design discussions
3. Automate, monitor, and optimize our systems to scale efficiently
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
1. Experience with Python/Java/C++ building medium to large complexity software.
2. Experience with full cycle of software development from the design to release and iterations
3. Experience working on back-end or infrastructure projects
BONUS POINTS
1. Experience working on a machine learning infrastructure at scale
2. Experience building batch or stream processing pipelines
3. Experience in solving problems (tooling, applied machine learning, etc.) in the autonomous vehicle space
The salary range for this position is $28.00 - 68.00/hour. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
