Berkadia is looking for a Spring intern to start with us on a part time basis immediately. The HR Intern – Talent Operations & Data will support key initiatives that strengthen Berkadia’s HR infrastructure, data integrity, and employee experience. This role is ideal for a student interested in how modern HR teams use data, systems, and policies to enable a skills-based talent strategy. You will partner closely with members of the People Organization and cross-functional partners in Risk and Legal, gaining hands-on experience with HR systems, data management, and policy development.

HR Systems & Data Management

  • Update and maintain skills data within Mercer and/or Workday, supporting the company’s shift toward skills-based talent management.
  • Assist with moving job descriptions into Workday and audit job profiles for completeness and accuracy.
  • Support Workday-related HR projects as opportunities arise during the internship.

Job Documentation & Compliance

  • Aggregate agreements and hiring documentation to ensure compliance with data retention requirements.
  • Audit personnel files to confirm required documentation is present, accurate, and properly stored.
  • Help standardize file organization by consolidating HR documents from multiple sources (SharePoint, K drive, OneDrive, Teams) into a uniform location, reducing duplication and improving team efficiency.

Policies, Handbooks & Governance

  • Partner with HR, Risk, and Legal to inventory existing policies and handbook content.
  • Assist in moving, updating, and versioning policies and handbook materials within a new hosting/issuing methodology.
  • Help ensure policy documentation is current, consistent, and easy for employees to access.

Employee Experience & Surveys

  • Contribute to the redesign of the New Hire Survey for a 2026 launch, including idea generation, content updates, and presentation of recommendations.
  • Potentially assist with Exit Survey data analysis, including pulling and aggregating data (e.g., from Glint and exit surveys) to identify trends and themes.
  • Support the development of creative, data-informed solutions to enhance the employee lifecycle.

We are passionate about your growth, so to achieve success in this role you should have: 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources or a related field.
  • Ability to commute to Ambler, PA to work on a hybrid basis as needed. 
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with data and documentation.
  • Interest in HR operations, HR technology, and/or employee experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint); familiarity with SharePoint or other collaboration tools is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and follow through on commitments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and professionally.
  • Curiosity, willingness to learn, and a collaborative mindset.
