Intern : Depot Operator

The main responsibility of the intern is to support the Depot team with receiving, storing and distributing Fuel in an efficient and effective manner whilst maintaining the required HSSE standards, as well as agreed customer service levels.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure product availability, manage in transit and in storage stocks, and control product losses effectively and safely to ensure they are within acceptable tolerance.
• Participate Stock Management on a daily basis as well as in month end stock taking.
• Manage Truck discharging and storage operations in full compliance.
• Check and control product throughputs, gains/losses, quality and maintenance for the depot
• Perform Tank Dips and quality control daily as required.
• Maintain appropriate standards at the facility, ensuring compliance with management systems, procedures, local/company standards and legislation.
• General House Keeping
• Comply and enforce HSSE standards and procedures including PPE requirements.
• Do monthly HSSE inspections, as required - Inspect equipment and facilities in depot and report any defects.
• Take corrective action when drivers, contractors, crews or personnel do not obey rules.
• Maintain compliance with customer Safety, Environmental and Radiation standards.
• Ensure safety standards are adhered at all the times.

Requirements

• Trade Certificate Level 3 (Fitting & Turning, Boiler Making & Welding or similar) or Certificate in Supply and Logistics
