What You’ll Learn

What You’ll Do

  • Develop NeRF Applications: Collaborate with our team of experienced engineers to design and develop NeRF (Neural Radiance Fields) applications for mobile devices.
  • Conduct Research and Experiments: Investigate and experiment with NeRF technology to improve real-world applications, regularly reporting findings to the team.
  • Optimize for Mobile Platforms: Work closely with mobile developers to optimize NeRF applications for efficient resource usage and real-time performance.
  • Integrate with SLAM Systems: Integrate NeRF capabilities with our Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) systems to fuse spatial data seamlessly.
  • Tune Performance: Collaborate on performance tuning, leveraging possible NPU/GPU acceleration and other techniques to ensure fast and reliable NeRF experiences on mobile devices.
  • Create Comprehensive Documentation: Generate clear and comprehensive documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer within the team, including best practices and implementation guidelines for NeRF.
  • Test and Validate NeRF Applications: Conduct thorough testing and validation of NeRF applications.
  • Stay Informed about Industry Trends: Keep up to date with the latest advancements in NeRF and mobile application development, and actively contribute innovative ideas to the organization
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Location:  Hybrid, working onsite at our San Diego, CA office 3 days per week with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time

What You Bring

  • Educational Background: A graduate student pursuing a Ph.D. or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Applied Math from a reputable university with a strong academic standing is preferred.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to innovate, with a proven history of addressing complex challenges effectively.
  • Collaboration Skills: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of teamwork and knowledge sharing.
  • Documentation and Communication: Excellent documentation and communication skills, including the capability to clearly convey complex technical concepts.
  • Performance Optimization: Experience in optimizing the performance of applications for mobile devices, including TPU/NPU/GPU acceleration and resource efficiency.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Willingness to actively share knowledge and support the growth and development of the team, contributing to a culture of continuous learning.
  • Tech Trend Awareness: A commitment to staying updated with the latest advancements and trends in NeRF and mobile application development, and the ability to integrate new insights into projects.
  • Innovation: A proven track record of bringing fresh and innovative ideas to the team, which have positively impacted projects and the organization.

The pay range below is for all roles at this level across all US locations and functions. Individual pay rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location, as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education, and training.
