About the Role

The Commercial Strategy and Analytics intern will be responsible for building and presenting a proposal to integrate an Artificial Intelligence Large Language Model (AI LLM) provider with our internal Tableau reporting environment, in alignment with the Commercial Analytics team, IT, and other relevant stakeholders.  The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in exploring LLM models for business use and is motivated to interview and collaborate with other stakeholders to uncover business needs.

Let’s talk about some of the key responsibilities of the role:

  • Research available AI LLM providers that integrate with Tableau and determine pros and cons of built-in vs. custom integrations
  • Interview Analytics team and other relevant commercial stakeholders to understand and capture business needs and requirements
  • Collaborate with our internal IT team and Salesforce to understand technical requirements for integration, ensuring data privacy and protection is paramount
  • Present to Commercial leadership on recommendation and key findings – along with proposed plan for implementation
  • Uncover potential use cases for how an AI LLM could be implemented to meet the needs of the Commercial team

Factors for Success:

  • Current Bachelors or Masters student in communications, business, statistics, data science, or a related field
  • Strong interest in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry
  • Problem-solving mindset, ability to successfully navigate ambiguity/complexity
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into actionable strategy and tactics
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills required
  • Familiarity with LLMs (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc) required
  • Must be a team player with strong self-awareness and excellent interpersonal skills

The expected hourly pay for this position is $26/hour for an undergraduate student and $45/hr for a graduate student.
