Who you are

You're a dedicated and motivated person who loves to learn new skills, concepts and build amazing React apps. Attention to detail comes naturally to you, and you’re humble enough to admit you’re wrong and jump at an opportunity to improve or to help others improve. You work best in a team environment and enjoy collaboration, feedback and challenging each other to improve. You embrace what it means to work in a startup and are willing to question assumptions and iterate till you get a feature right.


What you’ll do

  • Add features to the samdesk web application.
  • Patch bugs as they surface.
  • Review PR’s.
  • Write automated tests.
  • Collaborate with other Front End Developers, our Product Manager, Product Designer, and backend engineers to see new features and products from concept to roadmap to realization.
  • Huddle with the team to solve problems that come up and collaborate.
  • Help to evolve the samdesk web tech stack and improve on existing code
  • Contributing as needed to make the best product possible.



Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of frontend experience or a good reason why you're right for the job
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript
  • ReactJS, Vue, or other modern JS frameworks
  • HTML and CSS experience
  • Collaborates well with others
  • Love of learning and a desire to grow as a developer
  • Experience with large code bases, building maintainable modern architectures, performance, and scalability



Nice to Have Experience

  • A degree in Computing Science or comparable field
  • TypeScript
  • Jest and React-testing library
  • GraphQL
  • React Native
  • Experience building location data viz on ESRI or Google
