In this role, you’ll take ownership of safeguarding Omnisend’s innovations – shaping our IP strategy, strengthening our protection frameworks, and ensuring our ideas stay ours. You’ll partner closely with product, engineering, and brand teams to weave IP thinking into how we build, design, create, and launch. Beyond managing trademarks, copyrights, and licensing, you’ll help us anticipate risks, spot opportunities, and turn IP into a real competitive advantage.   • Own and drive Omnisend’s intellectual property strategy, protecting our brand, products, and technology across trademarks, copyrights, patents, and emerging IP areas.
  • Build and maintain practical IP policies and processes, and act as a trusted advisor to product, engineering, design, and marketing teams on brand use, product features, marketing assets, and innovation-related risks.
  • Lead IP enforcement efforts, including trademark and copyright protection, infringement monitoring, domain disputes, takedowns, and misuse investigations, while overseeing IP aspects of contracts, licensing, assignments, and commercial partnerships.
  • Support the development of our technology patent portfolio through patentability assessments, filings, and competitive landscape monitoring, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Stay current on evolving IP laws, and enforcement trends, proactively advising the business on risks, opportunities, and improvements to our IP posture.
  • AI & emerging technologies: We move fast with AI. Legal experience around AI is a strong advantage to help us push boundaries responsibly – enabling experimentation, supporting product teams, and spotting emerging legal risks before they slow us down.

  • A strong background in intellectual property law, with knowledge of trademarks, copyrights, patents, brand protection, and enforcement practices in the EU, US, and globally.
  • 3+ years of hands-on IP experience, ideally within a tech, SaaS, or product-driven environment where IP considerations are part of daily operations.
  • A clear and open communicator who partners easily with product, engineering, design, IT security, and marketing teams.
  • Proven ability to build, improve, and scale IP processes – from registrations and enforcement to practical internal guidance.
  • Detail-oriented yet business-minded, balancing legal accuracy with solutions that work in a fast-moving company.
  • A proactive problem-solver who spots IP risks early, handles infringements confidently, and supports teams with pragmatic advice.
  • Flexible and adaptable, ready to support beyond core IP work and contribute to broader legal initiatives and cross-functional projects when needed.
  • Experience with technology patents, including patentability assessments, filings, and competitive monitoring.
  • Law degree with a strong IP foundation; additional IP-focused qualifications or certifications are a plus.
