Using a trauma-informed, child-focused approach, the program strengthens safety, wellbeing, and stability by providing coordinated support within an integrated service system.

Your role, your impact

As an Integrated Family Support Worker, you’ll walk alongside families as they navigate complex challenges, helping to build safety, strengthen family functioning, and improve outcomes for children. Your work will reduce barriers to support, promote stability, and create opportunities for positive, lasting change.

In this role you will:

  • Deliver assessment, case management, and outreach support to families experiencing complex needs.
  • Partner with families to set goals, develop care plans, and undertake ongoing risk assessment and safety planning, prioritising child safety and wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary service systems, including Child Protection and information-sharing frameworks (MARAM, FVISS, CISS).
  • Advocate for families and coordinate referrals to internal and external services.
  • Maintain accurate client documentation and contribute to quality improvement and professional development.

Who we’re looking for

  • Tertiary-qualified Social Worker (or equivalent) with minimum 2 years’ experience supporting children and families, ideally in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Experienced with families affected by family violence, mental health challenges, and/or substance use.
  • Strong engagement, communication, and case-management skills to effectively support clients.
  • Confident in outreach and home-based service delivery, holding a current driver’s licence and willingness to travel.

What will make you stand out

  • Experience working within integrated service systems or The Orange Door model
  • MARAM training or experience working within family violence frameworks
  • Understanding of the Not‑for‑Profit and community services sector
  • Experience working with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and CALD communities
