About the Role
The Intake Specialist supports children, teens, families, and young adults presenting with behavioral health concerns. The specialist is the first point of contact for new members, conducting comprehensive clinical case management evaluations; gathering information, screening for risk, and triaging members into appropriate services—all while creating a warm and inviting environment. Along with intakes, the specialist provides accurate and timely documentation in the EHR, consults with clinicians to facilitate referrals, and assigns care team members assignments, with other duties as assigned.

Key responsibilities:
Conduct initial evaluations for new members and families in a private, confidential, HIPAA-compliant setting (i.e., home office)
Screen new members and families for risk and triage into appropriate services
Document evaluations and provide clear updates to team members using exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Consult with the clinical lead to facilitate referrals for clinically indicated services outside of the organization
Assign care team members post initial evaluation and inform them of new assignments
Manage multiple priorities effectivelyManage all pre- and post-session administrative tasks, including clinical record review, benefit verification, and timely family follow-up (compensated via a single, comprehensive per-intake case rate)
Adhere to strict clinical timelines and complete all post-intake documentation and family communications within a 48-hour window to ensure continuity of care
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Psychology-related field (unlicensed) or certified coach with experience in mental health (ideally with case management experience)
Tech-savvy and comfortable utilizing virtual meeting spaces (e.g., Google Meet, Zoom) for intakes and other check-ins and learning new digital platforms and tools
Organized and excited by a dynamic environment
Warm and engaging clinical style
Passionate about helping kids and teens achieve goals
