Intake Analyst
TLDR
Support the Department of Homeland Security by investigating schools for potential exploitation of the U.S. educational system, working collaboratively with federal stakeholders.
- Ensure government agencies have essential data related to nonimmigrant students and exchange visitors to preserve national security
- Provide support in the approval and oversight of schools authorized to enroll F (Academic) and M (Vocational) Status nonimmigrant students and give guidance to both schools and students about the requirements for maintaining proper status
- Assist in assuring proper reporting and record keeping by schools and exchange visitor programs to ensure data currency and integrity
- Assist in identifying potential student and exchange visitor status violations so that appropriate enforcement action may be taken
- Support planning and operational activities
- Aid through all phases of adjudication and certification process
- Review and verify evidence regarding petitions through all phases of documentation lifecycle
- Handle all related record-keeping required to organize, handle, store, retrieve, and destruct records for the organization in adherence to internal policies and external requirements
- Research tickets and coordinate with federal stakeholders to determine best course of action
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3+ year of experience with financial data reports to ensure they are up to date and fee payments are logged correctly, verify payment entries, overpayments, and refund requests
- Ability to manage record-keeping through a case management system, tracking all compliance activities
- Ability to conduct compliance review ensuring records are accurate and complete for processing
- Ability to draft notices, reports, and templates
- Ability to Track Status of Requests with tools such as MS Excel
- Ability to file, upload, and tag incoming documentation
- Ability to assess risk and identify potential risk, perform risk review
- Ability to generate compliance review reports
- Ability to research, review and verify evidence
- Experience with Student Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) is highly desired
- Experience in providing information for school and student investigations is highly desired
- HYBRID (3 days per week in Vienna, VA)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance, active Top Secret preferred
- This role supports a government agency which requires U.S. citizenship.
