We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Instructional Designer to join our team. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality training programs and learning materials that effectively meet the needs of employees and stakeholders. The successful candidate will work closely with subject matter experts, trainers, and other teams to create engaging and impactful learning experiences that drive performance and growth.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Course Development: Design and develop effective learning programs, e-learning modules, instructor-led training (ILT) sessions, and blended learning solutions using instructional design methodologies and tools.
  • Needs Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to assess learning needs, identify skill gaps, and align learning objectives with organisational goals.
  • Content Creation: Create explicit, engaging, and interactive content, including written materials, presentations, quizzes, videos, and assessments. Ensure all content is accessible and adheres to industry best practices.
  • Learning Management System (LMS) Utilization: Upload, manage, and track training content in the company’s Learning Management System (LMS). Monitor learner progress and assess the effectiveness of learning initiatives.
  • Instructional Design Methods: Utilise ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) or other instructional design models to create customised learning solutions for different audiences.
  • Evaluation and Improvement: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through learner feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. Based on data-driven insights, make recommendations for course improvements.
  • Collaboration: Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) and key stakeholders to ensure content accuracy and relevance. Guide trainers and other departments on instructional best practices.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure all learning materials comply with relevant legal and organisational standards, including accessibility requirements and data protection laws.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or training in a corporate or educational setting.
    • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia).
    • Familiarity with designing and delivering training for diverse learning styles and environments (e.g., virtual, in-person, or hybrid).
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create straightforward, concise, and engaging content.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
    • Ability to analyse complex topics and distil them into easy-to-understand learning materials.
    • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
